Refund Policy

At House Affairs, we take pride in delivering high-quality home textile products. Please read our return and refund policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. RETURN ELIGIBILITY
We accept returns only under the following conditions:
Product is damaged during transit, OR
Product has a manufacturing defect, OR
Incorrect product has been delivered
We do NOT accept returns for reasons such as change of mind, dislike of colour, texture, feel, or size perception.

2. REPORTING WINDOW (STRICT)
All return requests must be raised within 48 hours of delivery
Requests must include: 
  • Order ID
  • Clear photos/videos of the issue
Requests raised beyond this timeframe will not be considered.

3. CONDITION OF RETURN
To qualify for return:
Product must be unused, unwashed, and not used anyways 
Must be returned with original packaging and tags intact
Must be in resalable condition
Any product found used, washed, damaged, or altered will be rejected.

4. NON-RETURNABLE CONDITIONS
Returns will NOT be accepted in the following cases:
Minor color variations due to lighting or screen differences
Fabric feel, softness, or personal preference issues
Minor design variations inherent in handcrafted or textile products
Products marked as “Final Sale”
Such variations are natural and shall not be treated as defects.

5. RETURN APPROVAL & INSPECTION
All return requests are subject to verification by our team
Approved returns will be scheduled for pickup 
Final acceptance of returned products is subject to quality inspection by House Affairs.
House Affairs reserves the right to reject returns that do not meet the above conditions.

6. RETURN PROCESS
Once approved, return pickup will be arranged
Customer must ensure:
  • Proper packaging
  • Product safety during transit
We are not responsible for damage during return transit due to improper packaging.

7. REFUND POLICY
Refunds are processed only after:
  • Product is received
  • Inspection is completed
Timeline:
  • 7–10 working days from approval
Mode:
  • Original payment method


8. DEDUCTIONS (IF APPLICABLE)
The following may be deducted from refunds:
Forward shipping charges 
Return shipping charges 
COD charges 
Handling charges (if product condition is not as expected)

9. REPLACEMENTS
In case of approved defects or damage:
  • Replacement will be provided subject to availability
  • If unavailable, refund will be issued


10. DELIVERY-RELATED ISSUES 
If the package appears tampered or damaged: 
  • Refuse delivery
  • Inform us immediately
Claims for missing/damaged items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery

11. FAILED DELIVERY / REFUSAL
If an order is:
Refused at delivery
Not accepted after multiple attempts
The order will be returned to origin
Shipping and return charges will be deducted from the refund.

12. RETURN ABUSE & MISUSE
House Affairs reserves the right to:
Reject return requests in case of repeated misuse
Limit or block accounts with excessive return behavior

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
We are not responsible for:
  • Customer misuse of product
  • Incorrect washing or handling
  • Normal wear and tear


14. FINAL DECISION AUTHORITY
All returns, refunds, and replacements are subject to final inspection and approval by House Affairs. The decision of House Affairs shall be final and binding.
